Pilates Introductory Workshop

During this informative session you will learn about how Pilates can benefit you! In an interactive setting you will be introduced to Pilates principles, the muscles that make up your core, how to activate them and where the movement comes from. With an introduction to the fundamentals and the basic movements that are essential to all the Pilates exercises you may feel more comfortable in selecting your personal Pilates program. In-depth Pilates Series

Whether you want to start or deepen your foundation and understanding of the Pilates Equipment repertoire, the In-depth Workshop Series are an educational, informative and interactive introduction to Reformer, Cadillac (Tower End), Mat and Chair.

Level I: This Workshop is an educational, informative and interactive introduction to the Pilates Reformer I and Tower I as a preparation to our Level 1 Equipment Combo classes. During 10 hours you will be introduced 'in-depth' to the correct alignment, rhythm and pace of basic / beginner exercises, routines, transitions and dynamic flow. An understanding of the Pilates Principles and Fundamentals is recommended, but not required.

Level II: As you continue in your practice and our Series we build upon the Foundation to refine the technique, alignment and concentration to progress into the intermediate work. This workshop includes Reformer II, Tower II and Mat I work.

In-depth Yoga Series

The In-depth Yoga Series consists of the following 2½-hour workshop sessions:

Fundamentals This session is designed to introduce you to basic yoga postures.  A solid foundation of these poses encourages the initiation of a central shift in the body which develops strength, stability, flexibility, balance and ease of relaxation.

Back Bends This session affords students of all levels opportunity to not bend backwards, but to extend towards the back.  By using the back extensions, one grows strength and stability as well as invigorates an energetic flow through body. With modifications that agree with your body type, these poses offer an excellent way to open the heart, lungs and abdominal organs.

Inversions Turn your world upside down. Entrust our expert instructor to find stability, alignment and balance while having the feet over the head.  This class is for the practitioner who has been working with the asana and has grown some awareness of how to move within the poses.
